About the Artist

Meet the Maker

Jorja Rose has been making ceramics for seven years and living in D.C. for four. She started working with clay as a sophomore at Bennington College and instantly fell in love with the medium for its versatility and intimacy. Now, she crafts homegoods and jewelry for friends, family, and pets. She strives to make mugs, planters, ashtrays and more that can brighten up homes and help make them beautiful, thoughtful places. She does her ceramic work from her couch and at District Clay, a studio in NE D.C. that offers classes and space for community artists. She is currently earning an MA in Art Therapy from George Washington University.
